Investigative Reporter Wins a Prestigious US Democracy Award-2017

8 June – In Ukraine, we have been supporting reporters and media pushing for anti-corruption reform.

We helped launch two major TV programs Nashi Groshi [Our Money] TV and Slidstvo.info [Investigation] revealing the rot in the country’s life: as a result of more than 360 TV reports, over $1 million of Ukrainian tax payers money saved and numerus trials and crminals opened.

It’s great to see this support getting proper recognition as Denys Bihus, Nashi Groshi TV presenter and Internews’ long-time partner, received a Democracy Award-2017 from the National Endowment for Democracy in the USA, along other anti-corruption activists from Angola, Afghanistan, Guatemala and Malaysia.

Congratulations, Denys!
