Open University of Reforms Launches its Fifth Session

March 4 – The Reanimation Package of Reforms (RPR) and the Center for Democracy and Rule of Law launched the Fifth Open University for Reforms for young representatives of state and public institutions and organizations.

Over the next three months, 31 participants will attend and participate in lectures and discussions, and intern at leading civic organizations. The project is being administered with Swedish Government support.

Taras Shevchenko, director of the Center for Democracy and Rule of Law and RPR co-chair contextualized the University’s objectives. “The main difference between the current situation and the situation we had just after the first Maidan is the existence of a strong civil society, when active citizens are involved in reforms,” he said. “RPR is one of the brightest examples of this difference. We understand that changing the country is our responsibility, so we should work hard to make Ukraine successful.”
