Free Legal Assistance for Journalists from Bihus.info
January 11 – The team of the “Tysny” project (Bihus.info) is providing free legal assistance to journalists and civic activists from all regions of Ukraine who investigate corruption cases and tenders, and who cooperate with anti-corruption authorities.
Lawyers of “Tysny” provide legal support (consultations, assistance in submitting court applications, monitoring of cases, cooperation with law enforcement bodies) on issues arising as a result of violations of the Law of Ukraine “On Public Procurement”, Law of Ukraine “On Prevention of Corruption”, Code of Administrative Proceedings, The Criminal Code of Ukraine, and the Law of Ukraine “On Access to Public Information.” Lawyers of “Tysny” will help to make an appeal to law enforcement agencies and other state bodies and to challenge the inaction of state bodies in court, if necessary. In addition, the team “Tysny” will provide legal advice on various issues of public interest.
