How two Ukrainian teenagers escaped from Russian captivity: an investigative film from Slidstvo.Info

March published the investigative film, “Escape from the Russians: The story of rescuing kidnapped Ukrainian girls, which recounts the story of two teenage girls who were held in occupied Crimea for months and their eventual return to Ukraine. According to Ukrainian authorities, at least 16,226 children, but likely hundreds of thousands, have been forcefully taken to Russia since the full-scale invasion.

The film features an excerpt from a press conference where President Volodymyr Zelenskyy says that one of the ways to deal with the issue of deported children is to publicize more stories about it. The film was produced with support from the Organized Crime and Corruption Reporting Project and the International Renaissance Foundation.
