IMI Announces Whitelist for the Third Quarter of 2021
September 21 – Institute of Mass Information (IMI) experts found high levels of compliance with journalistic standards in online media during the third quarter of 2021 – more than 96% of media content followed professional standards at the online media outlets Suspilne, Mirror Weekly, LIGA, Ukrainska Pravda, The Babel, Hromadske.ua, Bukvy, Espreso, and Novoye Vriemya.
Worst was the Politeka website, where only 14% of content followed basic standards of professional journalism, and most of the stories were reposts from other media.
IMI’s analysis of 23 national internet media was conducted in July and August 2021 with the support of the USAID Media Program in Ukraine run by Internews. The media are: obozrevatel.com, korrespondent.net, segodnya.ua, 24tv.ua, tsn.ua, strana.ua, pravda.com.ua, politeka.net, rbc.ua, gordonua.com, babel.ua, glavcom.ua, espreso.tv, hromadske.ua, unn.com.ua, nv.ua, liga.net, ukrinform.ua, zn.ua, censor.net.ua, interfax.com.ua, suspilne.media, and bukvy.com.
