December 9 – The Ministry of Information Policy (MIP) created a special section on its website to provide daily updates on developments related to the implementation of martial law in 10 regions of Ukraine. “A special section of the news feed has been created on the MIP website, with the possibility of adding to the RSS aggregators with updates on the implementation of the legal regime of the martial law in 10 oblasts,” Dmytro Zolotukhin, Deputy Minister of Information Policy, wrote on Facebook.
As a response to Russian aggression in the Azov Sea, martial law was introduced on November 28 by President Poroshenko and approved by the Parliament in ten regions of Ukraine bordering the Russian Federation, Transnistria (Moldova) and the Black Sea coast, for 30 days (ending at 2:00 pm on December 26).
Yuriy Stets, Minister of Information Policy and member of the National Security and Defense Council, said at a November 26 midnight meeting of the National Security and Defense Council that the military situation would not impose any restrictions on freedom of speech.
