May 15 – producers of the “Murder of Pavel” documentary, Hanna Babinets and Dmytro Gnap, met with National Police Chief Serhiy Knyazev to share information they found during their investigation while preparing the documentary about Pavel Sheremet’s murder. The journalists shared the meeting in an interview published on
“The National Police management contacted us, and today we held the first meeting with Serhiy Knyazev, and he was interested in the details of our investigation,” Gnap said. Babinets said the National Police watched the documentary, and they “noticed a certain number of details.” She said she and her colleagues “will continue meeting with the National Police management and … look for a way acceptable for all parties involved in the investigation to make a progress … and to find the murderers of Pavel.”
On May 10, journalists from and the Organized Crime and Corruption Reporting Project presented the “Murder of Pavel” documentary dedicated to their colleague, Sheremet, who was killed in central Kyiv last July. The documentary reported the National Police did not question several potential witnesses who may have seen the bomb placed under Sheremet’s car.
